On behalf of the City of Penticton, CTQ is currently conducting environmental works along the Penticton waterfront and Penticton Creek Channel in support of the SS Sicamous Master Plan. The SS Sicamous Area Master Plan is a comprehensive investigation and plan to provide definitive direction for making this special waterfront and heritage park on Okanagan Lake a true tourist attraction.
The project entails an assessment of water recreation, tourism, heritage and First Nations culture. Environmental works for the project entail fisheries and riparian habitat protection strategies, hydrological investigations, erosion control planning, water quality investigations, and construction monitoring. CTQ will work closely with Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Environment Canada’s Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS), BC Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resources (FLNRO), City of Penticton Planning Department, and the Regional District of the Central Okanagan (RDNO).
