Our Planners are highly skilled in the development of master plans that consider site-specific needs, potential impacts between land uses, environmentally conscious design, efficient use of existing infrastructure, innovative districts, housing opportunities, sustainability, various mobility options and cohesive streetscapes.

Official Community Plan Development
Each community is unique in its geography, history, people, challenges and opportunities. The review and/or development of a community’s Official Community Plan must be aligned with provincial legislation, reflect the community context, express a clear vision and provide implementable and measurable directives to guide decision making and encourage investment into the community’s vision for the future. CTQ believes that successful Official Community Plans are infused with best practices, community collaboration and innovative ideas to serve the needs of current and future residents while providing place specific and flexible solutions to community challenges.
Policy & Regulatory Development
Land use development must fit within local regulatory contexts. CTQ has extensive experience in the development of policies and regulations, as well as managing land development to ensure compliance with complex regulatory frameworks. Whether it’s a desire to establish regulations to address community development challenges, create development opportunities or propose a new approach to development our Planners have the breadth of experience required to achieve your goals.
Zoning Bylaw Development
Regulatory frameworks are important tools for ensuring the desired form of a community’s built environment. They must be aligned with higher level policy and master planning directives, while being mindful of economic realities to ensure the achievement of desired built environments. We understand that successful Zoning Bylaws are simple, clear and concise user-friendly documents that allow for flexibility where appropriate to ensure its framework adapts well into the future.
