CTQ was recently awarded a project in Rossland to lead a team of specialists to investigate feasibility to develop a plot of land known as the Midtown Transition Area. The Midtown is one of the benches in the mountain community of Rossland, BC, home of the Red Mountain Ski Resort, made famous by ‘steep and deep’ snow and the home of Olympic skier Nancy Greene. Vacant lands and areas with redevelopment potential are strategically located between the downtown core and the ski resort on the edge of town. CTQ’s role in this project will be to prepare cost-effective scenarios that test feasibility for the private sector developers and investors to consider purchasing and building on these properties. Economic development will be a first priority of the City.
