Andrew Zelke, CPA, CA

Richmond, British Columbia -

PRINCIPAL – Andrew Zelke is the CFO and is responsible for all administrative aspects of the business. His strategic planning, budgeting and cash flow monitoring are essential in ensuring the success of CTQ. Andrew has been with the company since 2012, during which time he has gained a vast knowledge of the industry, while demonstrating the leadership qualities that have been instrumental to the development of CTQ. Prior to joining CTQ, Andrew spent five years with MNP, where he was successful in completing his Chartered Accountant (CA) Designation. Andrew is goal orientated, ambitious and focused on the future of CTQ.

Antonio Faccini, P.Eng., M.Eng.

Bogotá, Colombia -

PRINCIPAL – Antonio Faccini is a registered P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC. With more than 20 years of professional experience, he has worked in hydraulic resources and water modeling since obtaining his M.Eng. in 2000. Antonio has had the opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering projects covering all stages from conceptual planning to construction and implementation. He has been the main Consultant Engineer for two of the largest water utilities in the Okanagan Valley. In that role, Antonio has maintained and use their water distribution system models, developed capital plans, provided advisory services on several developments and participated as professional coordinator and designer of some of their key infrastructure facilities. Antonio is also very interested in GIS and has been working on GIS implementation projects since 2015.

Beate Woods

Shelburne, Nova Scotia -

Beate Woods has been with CTQ since 2011 when she was hired as an administrative assistant. She quickly became a valued member of the CTQ team, continually working hard to expand her role and abilities. Beate has now taken over the bookkeeper role within the company.

Bryan Chabeniuk, GIS Analyst

Calgary, Alberta -

Bryan Chabeniuk is a GIS Analyst / Planning Technologist / Civil Engineering Designer with CTQ Consultants Ltd. Bryan has over five years of experience on civil engineering related projects including site inspections, topographic surveys, site servicing and road designs for single family residential subdivisions, multi-family developments, industrial subdivisions, and commercial projects. In addition to his design experience; Bryan utilizes the latest version of ArcMap and has extensive training in GIS analysis including cartography, database design, database creation, process modeling, spatial analysis, and raster analysis, online mapping and app creation, all within the discipline of Urban Planning.

David Cullen, P.Eng.

Montreal, Quebec -

PRINCIPAL – Dave Cullen is the chief Transportation Engineer for CTQ. Over the past 20 years he has gained significant transportation system planning, design and construction experience. Prior to joining CTQ in 2006, Dave spent 3 years with Stantec Consulting in Kelowna, 15 years with Earth Tech (Reid Crowther) in Kelowna and 4 years with the Ministry of Transportation in the Highways Bridge Engineering Department. Dave has also worked as Bridge Construction Supervisor throughout the Province of BC.

Ed Grifone, MCIP, RPP, MA

Nelson, British Columbia -

Ed Grifone has worked in the field of Municipal Planning and Land Development for 30 years. His experience throughout Western Canada has included various scales of projects ranging from large multiple use master plans to commercial and industrial sites. He has also conducted numerous studies to help test feasibility, site location analysis, and to gain approvals for developers. His private sector project experience has been complemented by a vast amount of work in municipal planning policy and urban design. His particular areas of interest and passion include resort area development planning, regional tourism and recreation, downtown/commercial area revitalization and economic development strategies.

Frank Pohland, Designer

Berlin, Germany -

Frank Pohland has been involved in Urban Design and Landscape Design for over 30 years. His projects range from Downtown Revitalizations for more than 15 municipalities in the BC Interior to parks planning and design for over 24 BC Provincial Park Sites. Frank also has significant experience in civic park and open space amenity design, site planning and landscape architecture. 3D digital modeling and graphics are key elements in the design process that Frank uses extensively for communication with clients and approving agencies. Frank was part of the Canadian astronaut training program in the 1980’s and was the proud recipient of the Nobel Prize for Quantum Physics and String Theory in 1991. Frank is a clown.

Glen Power, AScT

Ottawa, Ontario -

Glen Power is the Information Systems Administrator for CTQ. Originally trained as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Glen joined CTQ in 2005 as a Civil Design Technologist. With the rapid growth of a fledgling company, the need arose for increased technology support. Glen welcomed this challenge and soon found himself in a new roll which included support for hardware and software, servers, mobile and telephone systems, networking and infrastructure maintenance. His previous experience in design lends itself to creative problem solving when deploying new AutoCAD software and solving complex technological issues. Glen has particularly enjoyed being part of the dynamic changes over the years, and looks forward to CTQ’s continued growth and prosperity.

Haruko Kagami, AScT

Tokyo, Japan -

Haruko Kagami was born in Tokyo, and raised in Chiba prefecture, a 1 hour train ride from the center of Tokyo. After working in Tokyo for a few years, Haruko came to Canada. She successfully completed ESL, Office Administration program at Selkirk College in Castlegar & Trail. While living in Salmon Arm, she immigrated to Canada, then move Kelowna and graduated from Civil Engineering Program at Okanagan College in 2005. Haruko Joined CTQ in 2007. She is passionate about sustainability through the eye of Permaculture. She studied permaculture in 2009 and started the Kelowna Permaculture community group. While she has retired from the community group organizer position, Haruko still enjoys attending various community events. Haruko enjoys attending CTQ rooftop garden throughout the year.

Irene Tumato, AScT

100 Mile House, British Columbia -

Irene Tumato relocated from Kamloops to Kelowna, BC in 2017 when she began working with CTQ. Irene has been involved in the Civil Engineering field for over 10 years with experience in civil design, inspections, survey and project planning specializing in land development, contract administration, and project management. Projects big or small, she loves them all with their own stories, teams and visions. Irene proudly continues to build positive working relationships with clients, contractors, and municipal staff to ensure successful projects.

Jarvis Ronacher, AScT

Kelowna, British Columbia -

Jarvis Ronacher has been with CTQ since 2007. He was was originally hired as a design drafting technician, but has since gained valuable Civil Engineering experience including field inspections, surveying, project planning, project management, and civil engineering design. He has developed extensive knowledge of by-laws requirements throughout the BC central interior communities and MMCD Construction Standards. He has established excellent working relationships with his clients, contractors and municipal representatives that result in a continuing working environment.

Justin VannPashak, EIT

Edmonton, Alberta -

Justin VannPashak joined CTQ in 2016 after moving to Kelowna from Edmonton. In the nearly 3 years since joining CTQ, he has worked on a broad spectrum of civil projects. This work has included municipal work and land development. He has experience in the design of gravity and pressurized systems. He has performed site inspection and contract administration. He has also completed many technical reports and contributed a large part to the completion of a Liquid Waste Management Plan. Justin is in his comfort zone when working on complex interdisciplinary projects that require adaptability and a broad skill set. He plans on continuing to develop a diverse range of knowledge to be a versatile member of future CTQ project teams.

Keanan Millar

Surrey, British Columbia -

Keanan Millar is a Graduate Technologist with a diverse wealth of experience ranging from onsite civil works to in office design. Keanan has overseen municipal storm system installations, conducted dike maintenance reporting, dry well data collection, onsite and in lab materials testing, onsite visual inspections, material take-offs and cost estimating, as well as design. Keanan is a Junior Design Tech. with CTQ Consultants who is committed to working hard and seeing projects through from conception to fruition.

Louis Prive, Site Inspector

Nelson, British Columbia -

Louis Prive started in the Civil Industry in 2000, at this time he came out of an automotive career that started at the age of 15. He joined a civil construction company as a general labourer and worked his way through the ranks to become a superintendent in charge of 12 employees and numerous pieces of heavy construction equipment. In 2007 Louis was looking for a change in venue and was asked to join the team at CTQ. Since this time, due to his practical construction knowledge, he has earned the title of Senior Site Inspector. Louis has gained extensive experience in the civil inspection industry due to the challenges that are faced each day in working with both clients and contractors in trying to complete projects on time and on budget. Field knowledge goes a long way in finding practical and cost-effective solutions to situations that arise through the construction stages of sometimes very complicated and unpredictable projects.

Lucas Thayer, EIT

Vernon, British Columbia -

Lucas Thayer started with CTQ as a Co-op student in January of 2016 and joined as an EIT upon completion of his schooling at UBCO in May of 2017. Since joining CTQ he has worked on several storm water management designs and many local projects as the design drafter. Through the UBCO Co-op program, Lucas gained valuable experience in the Civil Engineering field such as materials testing, construction practices and project management which he applies to his work at CTQ. Lucas enjoys the technical side of civil engineering, always developing his abilities to work with modelling software further and using those skills to benefit clients. Lucas is excited for the years to come, continuing to build and develop skills and work on the exciting projects CTQ has to offer.

Matt Cameron, P.Eng., FEC

Auckland, New Zealand -

PRINCIPAL – Matt Cameron has been involved in all aspects of Municipal Engineering and Land Development beginning with topographic survey, to site grading and servicing, along with municipal infrastructure, pump station, and roadway improvement design. Matt has extensive experience working on both large industrial and building projects in both the traditional and non‐traditional delivery systems. Matt’s career started in the construction field predominantly in heavy civil projects and he has traveled and worked around the world gaining experience in many aspects of engineering. Matt’s enthusiasm in working with people to accomplish common goals, along with his business skills, has enabled him to become the Managing Partner of this very dynamic consulting company.

Murray Noble, P.Eng.

Regina, Saskatchewan -

Murray Noble is a senior Municipal Engineer and has been with CTQ Consultants Ltd. for over 10 years and has worked in the Okanagan for 21 years. Prior to coming to Kelowna, Murray gained municipal design and contract administration experience working in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Working for both public and private sector clients throughout many projects, Murray has obtained a wealth of diverse experience. His varied experience and contacts in the Okanagan ensure that the latest and most innovative solutions are incorporated into his projects. Murray strives to build positive working relationships with clients, contractors and Municipal staff to ensure successful projects.

Roland Ruesgen, CTech

Saskatoon Saskatchewan -

Roland Ruesgen moved to Kelowna in the Fall of 1991 to begin his Civil Designing career with Stanley and Associates Engineering. Roland joined CTQ in the Spring of 2008, bring with him a variety of skills including Topographic survey, Retrofit Sewer design, Roads and Subdivision design, and Earthworks Modeling. Roland has participated in, and successfully completed a broad range of projects for The City of Kelowna, The City of West Kelowna, various Regional Districts, and around B.C. When I moved here in ’91 the population of Kelowna was about 76,000, now in 2018 it’s about 120,000. I’ve seen this town grow, and I’m proud to have been a small part of that.”

Steve Tobler, AScT, CCA

Kelowna, British Columbia -

PRINCIPAL – Steve Tobler began his career with CTQ in 2003. Hired as a design drafting technician, Steve was the second employee to join the company. Since then, Steve has gained significant knowledge of all facets of land development and contract administration. Through his attention to detail, dedication to producing quality work, and his commitment to providing the highest level of service to our clients, Steve has earned the position of Project Manager, and was ultimately welcomed into the Shareholder’s group in 2017. Steve very much enjoys his work with CTQ and will continue to be a great contributor to CTQ for many years to come.

Steven Hunter, EIT

Victoria, British Columbia -

Steven Hunter is a Junior Design Engineer with over two years experience working in the land development sector. He has been involved in numerous commercial, industrial, and residential projects ranging from two lot subdivisions to hundred plus lot developments and from multi-storey condos and apartment buildings to skyscrapers. Since joining CTQ in March of 2018, Steven has been involved in the design and drafting, construction, and overall coordination of these projects; he is proud to have been able to see numerous projects from conception through completion.

Tanvi Patel

Jamnagar, India -

Tanvi Patel joins CTQ as a summer student for 2019. Since moving from Fort McMurray to Kelowna, Tanvi has been studying Civil Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus. While attending UBCO, she has worked for the City of Kelowna on Transportation and City Planning related projects. As her career unfolds, Tanvi is excited for the new experiences, knowledge, and opportunities this field will bring. Tanvi has also enjoyed learning during her time at CTQ, and looks forward to developing long lasting relationships with fellow employees and clients while working on diverse and interesting projects.

Tobi Friesen, AScT

Winnipeg, Manitoba -

Tobi Friesen began his career as a design drafting technician with Earth Tech (Reid Crowther) in Kelowna. 10 years later, Tobi joined CTQ as their lead designer, and was also their first employee. For the past 25 years, Tobi has gained significant experience with Land Development and Municipal Infrastructure design, including site grading and servicing design utilizing the latest AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Tobi continues to enjoy his work, but takes time to help others learn Civil 3D, while helping to reinforce CTQ’s high design standards.

Allison McNeill

Vancouver, BC -

Alli McNeill is CTQ’s Media and Public Relations consultant. In 1981 Alli graduated from Douglas College in Vancouver, BC where she majored in Communications with focus on Media, Government and Public Relations. After graduation, Alli moved to the Okanagan where she established her own PR firm.  For the past 25 years Alli has worked within the Wine, Forestry, Environmental, Landscape, Farming and Development industries. Her past achievements include Director of Public Relations for Sandhill Winery, Vice president of Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and Board Judging Chair for the Okanagan Wine Festivals which she proudly held for over 20 years. Alli specializes in helping her clients define specific PR goals, then through her hard work and dedications ensures those goals are achieved. Personally, Alli is passionate about travelling, gardening, cooking and volunteering within her community.
