History
“It all started in a Kelowna coffee shop in 2003.”
After working for several other engineering and planning consultants in the Central Okanagan, and after moving up the corporate ladder to top management, founding partners Matt Cameron and Gord Savage both felt like there was something missing in their careers.
They believed it was time to get back to working directly with their clients in an innovative, creative and sustainable manner, while creating solutions to complex problems. It was then that Matt and Gord decided to branch out and start their own company.
The real deal was set with a handshake as Matt and Gord discussed their future company at a Kelowna Coffee shop in 2003.
But, in their excitement to start their new company, they realized they were still missing one key ingredient – a business name. Matt and Gord had to come up with a name en route to setting up the company with legal counsel.
What they came up with, is what they believed to be the core values for a top consulting company – Cost, Time and Quality. That acronym became the foundation for the CTQ Consultants Ltd. name!
“Onward and upward!”
They had hoped that some of their previous clients would trust their new vision and continue to work with them under the new name. The results were better than they expected as an astounding number of past clients agreed to work with the newly formed CTQ. Matt and Gord knew then that they were in fact, filling a need in the market place. Most of the same clients continue to work with CTQ today.
CTQ was originally formed by two, and soon thereafter four senior partners came together with a joint passion to serve their clients needs. They each have extensive experience in Engineering, Transportation, Planning and Urban Design.
CTQ has continued to carefully select Civil and Transportation Engineers, Technologist, Land Use Planners, and Urban Designers to complement their team of professionals. This approach has allowed CTQ to become involved with some of the largest and most intriguing community development and design projects in B.C.
