In 2011, The Village of Harrison Hot Springs published a Request for Proposal (RFP) to have a long term Management Consultant join their team for a period of at least five years. CTQ won that competitive process, and since 2012 we have been working with Harrison to assist with an array of on-going projects (18 and counting!) as their community continues to grow.
The advantage to the municipality of having an on-going relationship with CTQ is consistency and historic knowledge at each stage of each project. Long term, the municipality benefits by having professional guidance during all phases of a project from conceptual and budgeting through to post-construction operations to ensure all details have been finalised to the goals and specifics.
This type of relationship saves the client money in the long run with ongoing support and understanding from an Engineer who understands the wider context and is part of their team, as opposed to one “parachuted in” to deal with one specific issue or design a single project.
Several other areas of Management Consulting such as successful grant application writing, urban revitalization, planning and commissioning a new water treatment plant, flood protection, and waste water issues have been part of this successful relationship to date.
The opportunity to be the liaison between the client and several levels of Government allows each client to have their initiative presented in a professional manner, ultimately allowing for successful project completion. Confirms CAO Ted Tisdale, “ I had the pleasure to work with CTQ for 2 years prior to my retirement as CAO for Harrison and I have never been disappointed in their professionalism. They have designed and managed all projects in an exemplary manner and in keeping with their mandate of delivering the project on time, within budget and maintaining a high quality of product. I have been very impressed with the level of service they provide and have no hesitation in recommending CTQ! It’s a great firm whose focus in on customer satisfaction!”
