Senior Environmental Analyst

Description:

Position: The Natural Resource Division of CTQ Consultants Ltd. (CTQ) is seeking a Senior Environmental Analyst to fill a permanent full time position. Reporting to the Division Manager, the Senior Environmental Analyst is responsible for performing a wide variety of analytical and technical tasks and project work related to environmental policy development and planning. Work includes researching, analyzing and preparing technical reports, environmental field studies, preparing proposal applications and assisting with the overall development, preparation, implementation and management of CTQ's environmental program.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a recognized university with a degree in environmental management, environmental planning, ecology, or equivalent. A minimum five (5) years of related experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:Duties and responsibilities will include:
• Environmental program development and management;
• Business development;
• Project management;
• Management of subcontractors and project team members;
• Environmental assessments;
• Field sampling and data collection; and
• Report writing.

Skills and Experience: Demonstrated skills and experience in the following areas are an asset:
• Theory and application of environmental planning, field inventories, classification and monitoring, and of the application of ecological and environmental principles;
• Standard environmental research, statistical and analytical principles, practices and methods;
• Registration with the College of Applied Biology as a Professional Biologist;
• Project management and contract management techniques;
• Technical report writing;
• Organization and communication;
• Ability to work in a team environment; and
• Knowledge of Federal and Provincial wildlife and wetland polices, legislation and guidelines;

Hours of Work: Hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
